The Kirkland Fire Department (KFD), in partnership with the Medic One Foundation, offers in-person CPR/AED & First Aid classes to empower community members with critical life-saving skills. Classes are taught by Medic One Foundation instructors and provide hands-on training that can make a real difference in an emergency.
For those seeking American Heart Association (AHA) CPR/AED and First Aid training certification, one of the following fees would apply:
For participants who do not require a certification card:
Topics covered in the CPR/AED class include bystander response to Cardiac Arrest, how to perform CPR on both adults and infants, and choke-saving procedures. The First Aid class covers bleeding control, Epi Pen & Narcan administration, burn management, and broken bone splinting.
Class participants must be 12 years old or older. Participants under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
