Heronfield Wetlands is a natural park in the Totem Lake area that also includes a fully-fenced off-leash dog area named "Jasper's Dog Park."
The off-leash dog park is two acres and includes a fenced section for smaller dogs. The park was designed, built and funded through a partnership between the City of Kirkland and the Kirkland Off-Leash Group (KDOG).
There is limited street parking available at this park. Please do not park in the neighboring business parking areas.
Jasper’s Dog Park is located on the west side of Heronfield Wetlands Park. It is fully fenced with separate sections for large dogs and small or shy dogs.

Jasper's Dog Park was designed, built and funded through a partnership between the City of Kirkland and the Kirkland Dogs Off-Leash Group (KDOG). The park was named after KDOG president Jean Guth's dog Jasper which passed away in 2010. Jasper's Dog Park opened in late 2011 with a grand opening in January 2012. The City assumed maintenance of the park following the dissolution of KDOG in February 2017.
Donating funds to a park is a wonderful way to show appreciation for Kirkland, to honor someone special, or to commemorate a milestone. Park benches and tables are the most popular items to donate, however other donations are possible as well, like those for trees or landscape, for general park maintenance, towards public art or other site amenities (i.e. water fountains), and even towards the tools and equipment needed to keep Kirkland’s parks beautiful.
