Kirkland has dozens of parks from small pocket parks to waterfront parks to large community parks with a variety of amenities like sports fields, playgrounds, picnic areas and trails.

- Seasonal Restrooms - Some park restrooms close over the winter and seasonal portable toilets are placed in those parks. Then during the busier spring and summer seasons portable toilets are placed in additional Kirkland parks as a service to the community. Seasonal changes take place annually in March and November.
