(July 3, 2025) -- Paving is expected to begin July 15, and will take approximately one week. Lane reductions between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. with flaggers controlling one-lane in each direction.
(June 27, 2025) -- Underground work is mostly complete on this project. The contractor will have a paving schedule in the next week or two.
(June 20, 2025) -- No changes to the update this week.
(June 12, 2025) -- Construction continues and our contractor is making good progress. Juanita Drive continues to be one lane from 9am to 3pm for the foreseeable future. This project is expected to be complete by the end of July.
(June 5, 2025) -- Construction has begun and Juanita Drive is reduced to one lane from 9am to 3pm while this project is in construction. Drivers can expect delays during this time.
(May 29, 2025) -- No new information from last week's update.
(May 22, 2025) -- City Staff and the Contractor held the pre-construction meeting this week for this project. Work is expected to begin in June. City Staff will conduct outreach to nearby residents to re-orient them with this project.
(January, 2025) -- Kirkland engineers are working with the City Attorney's Office regarding this project. No work will occur in the near future, and City will conduct additional outreach to residents once the project restarts.
(April 11, 2024)-- The Kirkland City Council voted on April 2 to award a construction contract to Monroe-based RRJ Company, LLC. Construction is scheduled to begin June 3, 2024 and is expected to last 40 working days.
