Celebrate the Season with Kirkland’s Winter Festivities

Get ready to make magical memories! This winter, our community is coming alive with holiday cheer through a lineup of festive events for all ages. From sparkling light displays and holiday markets to music performances and family-friendly activities, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
“Winter in Kirkland is a wonderful time to come together, share in the joy of the season, and celebrate the unique spirit of our community,” said Councilmember Jon Pascal, “We look forward to seeing everyone out joining the festivities, creating new memories with loved ones, and enjoying old traditions right here at home.”
Snowflake Ball
Dance into a winter wonderland at the annual Snowflake Ball!
- When: Friday, December 6, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
- Where: North Kirkland Community Center (12421 103rd Ave NE)
- Who: Kids aged 3-9 with one adult guardian
Enjoy twinkling lights, delicious snacks, and even a special guest from the world of Frozen! A professional photographer will be there to capture the magic. Tickets are $35 per child and must be purchased in advance. Visit kirklandparks.net or call 425-587-3336.
Google Lights Event – presented by SRM Development
- When: Friday, December 6, 5:15 - 7 p.m.
- Where: Feriton Spur Park
- Who: all are invited
The Annual Google Lights Event is happening on Friday, December 6, and it's going to be a magical evening. Kids can enjoy delicious treats, a fun petting zoo, and capture the moment at the photo booth. It's sure to be a festive and heartwarming night for everyone! The light show begins at 5:30 p.m. and will run daily until early January. Free.
Winterfest Tree Lighting – hosted by the Kirkland Downtown Association
The Kirkland Downtown Association is excited to host its annual tree lighting event.
- When: Saturday, December 7, 3 - 8 p.m.
- Where: Marina Park
- Who: all are invited
Look forward to a magical evening filled with festive vendors, mouthwatering food options, live music that will put a smile on your face, and activities designed to create cherished memories for the whole family. Free.
Cereal with Santa
Kick off the holidays with a magical breakfast alongside Santa himself.
- When: Thursday, December 14
- Where: North Kirkland Community Center (12421 103rd Ave NE)
- Who: Perfect for kids aged 2 - 9
Choose from two time slots: 9 – 10 a.m. or 10:30 –11:30 a.m. Kids can enjoy Santa’s favorite morning treats, create a fun craft, and take plenty of photos with Santa (don’t forget your camera!). Cozy pajamas are encouraged for an extra festive touch.

Community Bonfires & Argosy Christmas Ship Festival Stops at Kirkland's Parks
Bundle up and join us for cozy bonfires and festive music as part of the Argosy Cruises Christmas Ship Festival:
- Wednesday, December 18 at 5:10 p.m. – Marina Park (25 Lakeshore Plaza)
- Friday, December 20 at 8:35 p.m. – O.O. Denny Park (12302 Holmes Point Dr NE)
- Sunday, December 22 at 2:35 p.m. – Juanita Beach Park (9703 NE Juanita Dr)

Holiday Happenings at Peter Kirk Community Center
Holiday with the Hawks
If you are a huge 12 or a fan of the Seahawk Legends, this is an event you will not want to miss! Enjoy lunch, photos, autographs and hear fun stories from some of your past favorite football greats.
- When: Thursday, December 12, 11 a.m.–1 p.m.
- Cost: $5/person (ages 50+)

Holiday D’Lights
Celebrate with festive music by the Memphis Belles and a delicious lunch prepared by Aegis.
- When: Friday, December 20, 11 a.m.–1 p.m.
- Cost: $10/person (ages 50+)
Teen Holiday Fun
Teens can dive into the holiday spirit with an exciting lineup of festive activities at the Kirkland Teen Union Building. From delicious meals to thrilling challenges, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. This season’s highlights include:
- Teens-Giving Feast: Gather with friends for a warm, welcoming holiday food filled with laughter and gratitude.
- Holiday Escape Room & Cocoa Bar: Test your wits in a festive escape room adventure, then relax with a cozy cup of hot cocoa from our cocoa bar.
