KIRKLAND, Wash. – The City of Kirkland announces the hiring of Diana Hart as the City’s Government Affairs Manager. This position assists and advises City leadership through the management of intergovernmental, legislative, and business issues affecting the City and region.
“We’re thrilled to have Diana join Kirkland with her breadth of legislative experience and expertise,” said Councilmember Amy Falcone. “With her deep knowledge of the inner workings of our region and her experience with the Forty-Fifth Legislative District, we are excited to leverage Diana’s relationships, skills, and experience to help us achieve our goal of a vibrant and belonging community for all.”
Hart comes to Kirkland from the City of Woodinville, where she supported intergovernmental affairs through the development and advocacy of legislative agendas, providing legislative briefings to staff and Councilmembers, leading intergovernmental contracts, and supporting City involvement with regional boards and commissions. Hart also led economic development grant programs and increased City economic development efforts. Prior to working with the City of Woodinville, Hart worked at the City of Duvall and in the Washington State House of Representatives.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to join an innovative and outcome-driven City,” said Hart. “Having established professional relationships with many of Kirkland’s government partners, I look forward to expanding upon them and establishing new relationships in this role.”
