Creating Arts Scholarships for Kids in Kirkland

KIRKLAND, Wash. – Join the City of Kirkland, Kirkland Parks and Community Foundation (KPCF), Kirkland Arts Center, KAMP Music, and Studio East Performing Arts Center in helping to boost youth access to the arts by supporting arts scholarships. Your donation to the Spark Creativity campaign will help local arts educators provide scholarships to kids in need.

“As both a councilmember and a mom, opening doors to the arts for kids is a passion that is close to my heart,” said Councilmember Amy Falcone. “This campaign is just one way the City and local arts organizations can help make it easier for families, so all kids in our community can try out painting, music, dance, or theater.”

Donations will be used to cover tuition fees for qualifying youth participating in scholarship programs of partner arts organizations.

Gifts are also eligible for Kirkland Ca$h. For every $100 donated, receive $25 in Kirkland Ca$h, a community currency that began as an effort to boost local tourism and hospitality during the pandemic. Kirkland Ca$h vouchers can be used just like regular cash at more than 100 Kirkland businesses including restaurants, bike shops, salons, and more. Donations can be made via the Spark Creativity donation page.

Campaign partners also invite other local arts organizations to join us in sparking creativity in Kirkland by participating in the scholarship program. For more information, see the KPCF website.

The SPARK Creativity campaign runs through the end of May.
