O.O. Denny Park has reopened as of Tuesday, September 3, for water activities. The beach and creek had been closed to water activities since August 27 at the recommendation of Public Health – Seattle & King County.
On August 27, construction activity caused rock to enter the sewer mainline, block the flow, and caused a sewer overflow into Denny Creek and Lake Washington. Public Health – Seattle & King County recommended people and pets stay out of the water at the park for one week.
