Traffic Alert for August 14: Kirkland Waterfront Car Show

Drivers should expect traffic delays and restricted parking due to the annual Kirkland Waterfront Car Show to be held in downtown Kirkland on Sunday, August 14, 2022. Detours will be in place and the following closures will be in effect from 5 a.m. until 6 p.m.:

  • Lake Street from Central Way to 2nd Avenue South
  • Main Street from Central Way to Park Lane
  • Kirkland Avenue from city dock to Main Street
  • Park Lane from Lake Street to 3rd Street
  • Lake & Central Parking Lot
  • Lakeshore Plaza Parking Lot (south half)

Event organizers anticipate more than 10,000 car enthusiasts will attend the event, which raises money for the Kirkland Downtown Association.

Event goers are encouraged to walk, bike, or carpool, and plan for their parking in advance. For public parking, go to www.kirklandwa.gov/parking. For bus transportation, go to http://tripplanner.kingcounty.gov.
