KIRKLAND, Wash. – Drivers should expect traffic delays and restricted parking due to the Lake Washington Half Marathon to be held at Juanita Beach Park on Saturday, November 6, 2021. Vehicles parked on the course will be towed. A course map is available at OrcaRunning.com.
Eastbound NE Juanita Drive from 93rd Avenue NE to 98th Avenue NE will be closed with detour in place from 7:30 a.m. to noon. Southbound Lakeshore Plaza will be closed from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The City Boat Launch will remain open with minor delays. Lakeshore Plaza parking lot will remain accessible via Kirkland Avenue.
Event organizers expect 800 athletes will participate in the 13.1-mile race/walk which benefits Cascade Leadership Challenge. The non-profit organization is dedicated to providing leadership and outdoor adventure opportunities for teenagers ages 14-18.
